Founder attends Garden party at Buckingham Place

In the lead up to Volunteers Week 2019 in June, our founder Sandy Trott was honoured to be one of many nominated community champions to attend first Royal Garden Party of 2019, at Buckingham Palace.

Royal Garden Party

The royal event took place on 15th May 2019 and the weather was brilliant.

On the day, Prince Charles, Camilla, and Princess Anne were there to welcome thousands of guests, notably Volunteers, service personnel, and dignitaries were there, a lovely reward for the contributions they have made to society.

Sandy, attended the event with her family – founded Feel Good Co-operative in 2005, said “A once in a lifetime experience! Didn’t stop smiling all day, very humbling, but exciting day.”

Throughout the summer, the Garden parties allow guests to spend a relaxed summer in lovely gardens of Buckingham Palace; in which guests have the opportunity to meet the Queen, which whom will often speak to people from sections of the UK who have made a positive impact on their community.
