In and out about the local community

Throughout July, we provided tasters sessions to a number of community organisations, in an effort to deliver our key message of community wellbeing.

On July 6th, we were at the Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust Volunteers Event, Hall Place, in Bexley. The event was an appreciation of their 80,000 volunteers, who have gave their spare time to volunteer with local health organisations in Bexley.

For the event, four therapists provided taster sessions throughout the day, and were extremely busy from start to finish. A good time was had by all who attended.

Progress Hall Eltham

Just a day later, we worked with our friends at the Irish Community Service Cancer Support Group, at Progress Hall, in Eltham, South East London.

Having provided services to the Irish Community Service Cancer Support Group on several occasions, we were more than happy to send the same therapist again. This was a lovely event, and a favourite with the therapist. The members are an older age group, but very lively and great fun.

A couple of weeks later, on 21st July, we were at the Viridian Housing Health Information Event at Bentham House, in Woolwich.  This event was primarily for residents, although the general public were welcome to attend.

There was a number of stalls and talks by local organisations, giving healthy lifestyle advice.

On the day, Kate was on hand to provide taster sessions of reflexology, head and shoulders massage, and hand massage, which was particularly popular with the attendees.
