Our second Pamper and Feel Good Day

The sun was shining throughout for our second Pamper and Feel Good Day event.

We chose the Abbey Wood Community Centre as our venue because we already have close ties with the area, and a number of our clients and previous visitors asked if we would consider it.

Reception Team

The building has excellent transport links, with the station and bus stops on the doorstep. The halls are light and airy, and we put a gazebo up on the back patio to take full advantage of the lovely weather.

Health Testing

Our promoters, CC Events did a fantastic job, and we were delighted with the response – footfall was up almost 65%.

We had a small number of stalls selling lots of lovely products, and the rest of the space was given over to other community projects promoting mental and physical wellbeing, including blood pressure checks, Re-instate and Mind. Refreshments were provided by Bon’s Tea Hut.

Community treated our most popular therapies

As usual, the pamper and complementary therapy area was busy throughout the day. Feel Good therapists provided Back Massage, Head and Shoulders Massage, Hand Massage and Reflexology. Visitors could also have a manicure, pedicure, facial or threading.

Back Massage

Notable feedback from attendees was as follows:

Enjoyable event, pampering great. Had a head, neck & hand massage, also had nails painted.

Lovely piece of homemade cake – yummy! Plenty of friendly people to chat to as well.  Felicity & Emily

Local Councillor is guest of honour

Councillor Ann-Marie Cousins popped in towards the end of the day, and we would like to thank her, the Abbey Wood Community Centre, Chris and Cat, and everybody else who supported us.

More to come

As a not-for-profit community project, we also like to carry the same ethos into our events, and support other small organisations and local businesses. We have been extremely lucky in covering the costs of our first two events with private donations and the small profit raised during the day.

We are hoping that the Abbey Wood Ward Budget Scheme will provide funding towards the next events on the 14th September and the 14th December.
