We hosted our third ‘Pamper and Feel Good Day’ on Saturday 14th September. The event was sponsored by the Abbey Wood Councillors, Ann-Marie Cousins, Clive Mardner and Denise Hyland.
It was a wonderful day, the weather was perfect, and the atmosphere was fantastic.
We had a great mix of stalls, with small local businesses offering lovely goods to browse and buy, lots of helpful information and advice from Mind and our local NHS, and blood pressure checks from Charlton Athletic.
Visitors could book manicures and pedicures, threading, facials, crystal healing, and a wide range of complementary therapies provided by our very own volunteer therapists.
We were delighted to welcome as our guest of honour, the Mayor of Bexley, Cllr Geraldine Lucia-Hunt, and her husband Peter, the Mayor’s Consort. They spent a lot of time with us, and managed to have a few words with everyone there. We are so grateful for the support and encouragement they gave us.
We would also like to thank our brilliant promoters, CC Events, the Abbey Wood Community Centre, our stallholders, and our volunteers, with a special mention for our therapists who were, as usual, fully booked, and Teddi on the appointments table.
We were overwhelmed by the response and positive comments from everyone who helped to make this a really special day for the Feel Good Co-operative.
A few of the comments that we received:
‘It was an amazing and relaxing experience. Experienced and knowledgeable therapists. Well worth a visit – thank you!’
‘Very relaxing and feel very rested. Thank you very much.’
‘Very welcoming, fantastic treatments, highly recommended. Thank you!’
‘The treatments are very enjoyable, and was also given exercises to do at home. Would definitely recommend!’
‘I really enjoyed today, and needed to come because I had been feeling so tense.’
‘Absolutely loved today, really needed this treatment and relaxation.’

‘Feeling really good.’
Our next event will be on the 14th December, at the Abbey Wood Community Centre, and hope to see a large number members of the local community attend.
