On the 14th December, we hosted our fourth event, which was sponsored by the Abbey Wood Councillors. Although the weather was overcast, it remained dry. Our promoters, CC Events did a great job, and we had another very successful day.
The Mayor of Greenwich, Councillor Mick Hayes and his wife Gillian, were our guests of honour, and we were also delighted to welcome Councillor Ann-Marie Cousins again. We are extremely grateful to Ann-Marie for her invaluable support since we launched our health and wellbeing days in Abbey Wood.
We had a small number of stalls selling lots of lovely products, and space was also given to other projects promoting health and wellbeing, including blood pressure checks and the local NHS. Seasonal refreshments were provided by Bon’s Tea Hut.
We had over eighty visitors and, as usual, the pamper and complementary therapy areas were very busy. We also held a seasonal raffle, and a ‘Guess how many Sweets’ competition. There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day.
We would like to say a very big thank you to our supporters, our volunteers, Chris and Cat, our stall holders and the Abbey Wood Community Centre.
As always, we received nothing but positive comments from our visitors :
‘Today I have had reflexology and hot stones therapy. The ladies are so friendly, knowledgeable and skilled. I feel amazing after my treatments. I would recommend Feel Good Co-operative to everyone, they help so many people.’
‘I had reflexology, head, shoulders and back massage, and hot stone therapy. Fantastic, and the girls are all very good at what they do. Feeling very relaxed!’
And from our stallholders:
‘We have loved today. I’ve had a few customers and was able to look forward to getting in a back massage’.
So enjoyable – I love these events.’
‘Lovely hall and lovely people. I want to have a stall here again.’
‘First time here and it has a great atmosphere. Friendly and definitely got everyone in the Christmas Spirit.’
Our next Pamper & Feel Day will be on Saturday 8th February 2020.
